As Associate General Counsel in the Department of Litigation, he was responsible for assisting in the investigation of medical malpractice and risk management matters, as well as assisting the entire medical staff with outside legal requests from the local and national legal community.
Michael joined Plevin & Gallucci in 2007. His practice focuses primarily on complex medical malpractice matters in the areas of hospital and physician negligence along with nursing home malpractice and dental malpractice claims. He also assists in the pursuit of complex and catastrophic injury cases in other areas of the firm’s personal injury practice. In recognition of his outstanding efforts before the Legislature, the Ohio Association for Justice awarded him the 2012 and 2016 Distinguished Service Award. He continues to work with the Ohio Association for Justice Legislative Committee, The Academy of Medicine of Cleveland and Northeast Ohio’s working group on specialty medical tort courts. Outside his legal practice, Michael’s focus is on family and community. He has traveled the region for soccer tournaments and is involved in the local arts community. He is committed to making his community a better place for his family and his clients.
What Clients Are Saying About Michael
“Having worked professionally with attorneys (in a non-medical capacity), I had an idea of what representation would be like. Michael Shroge not only shattered my preconceived notions, he broke the mold entirely. He is a master at his craft, the best I’ve ever seen in any capacity, let alone this one.
To say we didn’t have much of a case in terms of evidence is putting it mildly. In fact, I can honestly say there’s not another attorney who would have continued to pursue it, let alone persist to the point of singlehandedly digging out the evidence needed to create significant exposure…and then to negotiate a completely unexpected and sizable settlement!
Interactions with Michael were professional and compassionate. I consider him an angel in disguise.”
