Jeffrey Karson is an attorney at Plevin & Gallucci who has spent his entire 31-year career focused on Ohio workers’ compensation law. He began his practice representing employers as a defense attorney, then made the transition to representing injured workers over the past 16 years. His in-depth knowledge of both sides of the Ohio workers’ compensation system has enabled him to successfully represent the interests of injured workers at all levels of the Industrial Commission of Ohio and courts throughout Ohio.
Jeffrey grew up on a family farm in Medina, Ohio and graduated from Medina Senior High School. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Kent State University with a major in Finance. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law and clerked for the Honorable Ted Schneiderman in Akron.
Jeffrey is admitted to practice law in Ohio and Florida. He is a member of the Ohio Association for Justice, Ohio State Bar Association, Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Florida Bar. He was a member of the original class for Board Certified Specialists of the Ohio State Bar Association for Workers’ Compensation Law. He has been a guest speaker for the National Business Institute for advanced workers’ compensation as well as the Ohio State Bar Association. He is a past member of the Ohio State Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Committee. Jeffrey has been named a Super Lawyer® for Ohio in Workers’ Compensation by Super Lawyers.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and children and playing golf. He was a long-time CYO and youth sports coach in baseball, football, basketball, soccer, and volleyball. He is a passionate fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes as well as the Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers, and Indians.
