Jeffrey Karson is an attorney at Plevin & Gallucci who has spent his entire 31-year career focused on Ohio workers’ compensation law.
For more than thirty years, Jeffrey Karson has devoted his legal career to one area of practice: helping injured workers navigate Ohio’s workers’ compensation system.

Jeff’s legal career began representing employers and insurance interests, providing him with a valuable understanding of how claims are evaluated and defended. Over time, he made the decision to devote his practice to representing injured workers, where he has spent more than two decades advocating for individuals and families throughout Ohio.
The experience gained from both sides of the workers’ compensation system provides Jeff with unique insight into the challenges clients face. He understands how employers and insurers analyze claims, what evidence is most persuasive, and how to position a case for success. That perspective allows him to develop practical strategies designed to protect his clients’ interests at every stage of the process.

Jeff was a member of the inaugural class of Board-Certified Specialists in Workers’ Compensation Law through the Ohio State Bar Association, a distinction reflecting substantial experience and demonstrated expertise in the field. He has also been recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer in workers’ compensation and has served as a speaker for legal education programs throughout Ohio.
Raised on a family farm in Medina, Ohio, Jeff developed the strong work ethic and practical values that continue to guide his practice today. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Kent State University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law and clerked for the Honorable Ted Schneiderman in Akron.
Outside of the office, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife and children, golfing, and following Ohio State athletics as well as Cleveland sports teams. He also spent many years coaching CYO and youth sports, including baseball, football, basketball, soccer, and volleyball.
