Esther C. Barrett
Esther Barrett is an accomplished attorney whose practice areas include workers’ compensation claims and Social Security disability.
She represents injured workers throughout the claim process, including workers’ compensation administrative hearings and in trial court. She also has given presentations on workers’ compensation related issues for various groups including the Columbus Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association.
Prior to joining Plevin & Gallucci, she was an associate attorney at a law firm in Columbus where she assisted with complex federal litigation, consumer law, and foreclosure defense. While in law school, she was a clerk at a law firm in Lancaster, Ohio.
Esther earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, magna cum laude, from The Ohio State University, graduating with Honors and Distinction. She also studied in Shanghai and Beijing, China. She received a Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Capital University Law School in Columbus. She was ranked in the top 5% of her class, served on the University’s law review, received nine CALI Awards, and was selected for the Order of the Curia. She also was a Research Assistant to Professor Daniel Kobil.
Esther is a member of State Bar of Ohio and the Southern District of Ohio.
In her time off, Esther enjoys reading, gardening, being actively involved with her church, and spending time with her husband, three children, and large extended family.
