Tricia Hurst
Tricia Hurst, attorney of Plevin & Gallucci Company, L.P.A., is a workers’ compensation and administrative defense lawyer based in Cleveland, Ohio.
Tricia Hurst’s commitment to injured workers began long before she became an attorney.
Raised in a union family in a working-class Cincinnati neighborhood, Tricia learned early in life the value of hard work, personal responsibility, and standing up for people who need a voice. Those values continue to shape her practice today as she helps injured workers navigate Ohio’s workers’ compensation system.
Tricia focuses her practice on workers’ compensation and administrative matters, representing clients whose injuries have disrupted their careers, finances, and daily lives. She understands the challenges working families face because she has lived them herself.
As the first member of her family to earn a college degree, Tricia worked throughout college to help pay for her education. Following graduation from the University of Cincinnati, she worked at WLWT in Cincinnati as part of the directing team and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Her union background and firsthand understanding of working-class values provide an important perspective in her representation of injured workers. She understands what is at stake when a workplace injury affects a family’s livelihood.
Tricia later earned her law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, now Cleveland State University College of Law, where she distinguished herself as a member of the school’s Moot Court team and participated in numerous leadership and service activities. She brought former Cincinnati Mayor Jerry Springer to the College of Law to take part in a day-long panel discussion about public service. During law school, she clerked at a medical malpractice firm and began developing the medical knowledge that would later prove valuable in workers’ compensation practice.
Over the course of her career, Tricia has represented both claimants and administrative interests, giving her insight into how workers’ compensation claims are evaluated and decided. Ultimately, she chose to return to her roots by dedicating her practice to helping injured workers and their families.
Clients appreciate Tricia’s practical approach, work ethic, and ability to explain complicated issues in straightforward terms. She believes every client deserves honest communication, thorough preparation, and an attorney who genuinely cares about the outcome of their case.
Outside of work, Tricia enjoys gardening, reading, cooking with her husband, and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
For injured workers seeking an attorney who understands their challenges and shares their values, Tricia provides dedicated advocacy backed by experience, determination, and a lifelong commitment to working families.
