Paul Grieco
Paul Grieco is one of Ohioโs foremost trial attorneys, a nationally respected litigator and leader with over 30 years of experience.
His passion for helping the injured and abused began in childhood, when his parents joined the Peace Corps and moved their family to Morocco and other countries in north Africa. He saw many types of injustice during his world travels and became determined to do something about it. He decided to be a lawyer.
After graduating from the University of Vermont with a bachelor’s degree in political science, he earned a law degree from Case Western Reserve University. As a student in the criminal law clinic, he participated in his first jury trial, which resulted in a successful verdict. He then began his legal career as a public defender with the New York Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn, New York, where he further developed his trial skills over the next six years.
In 1995, Paul returned to Cleveland, joining a well-established personal injury firm where he quickly worked his way up to partnership. He spent the next 20+ years handling personal injury and wrongful death cases throughout Ohio. He then branched out on his own, establishing a successful solo personal injury practice which included representation of children and families harmed by abuse.

Paulโs skills and experience are a valuable addition to Plevin & Gallucciโs national reputation for excellence. His focus includes personal injury, catastrophic litigation, wrongful death, nursing home, and medical negligence matters. He is admitted to practice law in Ohio and in New York, including within the Southern District and the Eastern District Federal Court.
Paul has earned the legal industryโs highest credentials. He has been named to the list of Ohio Super Lawyers every year from 2010-2025, the National Trial Lawyers Top 100, and Lawyers of Distinction, as well as receiving a Martindale- Hubbellยฎ AV Preeminentยฎ rating from his peers and an Avvo Top Attorney 10.0 Rating. He was the recipient of the 2014 Garretson Courage Award for the representation of 11 young children who were victims of abuse and neglect in the foster care adoptive system. He has been called to testify before the Ohio Legislature on critical issues of access to justice.
Paul has been deeply involved in many legal organizations, including the Ohio Association for Justice (OAJ), serving as President from 2016-2017, the American Association for Justice (AAJ), and the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys (CATA). He and his band contribute their time to the Cleveland Legal Aid Society, performing at the annual Jam for Justice fundraiser.
In his free time, Paul enjoys family activities including travel and exercise, playing bass guitar and singing with classic rock friends, listening to music, and working in the yard.
