Albert C. Sammon
Al Sammon is one of the most respected plaintiffs’ attorneys in Northeast Ohio. Dedicated to workers’ compensation, personal injury, and disability claims.
For generations of injured workers throughout Northeast Ohio, the name Albert “Al” Sammon has been synonymous with workers’ compensation advocacy.
Over a distinguished career spanning more than three decades, Al has earned a reputation as one of Ohio’s most respected attorneys in the fields of workers’ compensation, disability, and injury law. His commitment to protecting workers and their families has made him a trusted advocate for thousands of clients facing some of life’s most difficult challenges.
Al began his legal career as an Assistant County Prosecutor under the legendary John T. Corrigan. The experience taught him the importance of preparation, credibility, and attention to detail, lessons that continue to influence his practice today.
He later joined his father, Martin J. Sammon, in private practice and ultimately led the firm’s workers’ compensation and Social Security disability departments for more than thirty years. During that time, he developed a deep understanding of Ohio workers’ compensation law and built a reputation for successfully guiding injured workers through the claims process. Al and his firm, Sammon & Bolmeyer, joined forces with Plevin & Gallucci, in an of counsel relationship, to better serve the needs of injured workers and their families statewide.
Clients appreciate Al’s practical approach, accessibility, and willingness to take the time to understand the unique circumstances of each case. He understands that workplace injuries affect far more than a person’s health. They impact families, careers, finances, and futures.
Al’s extensive experience before the Industrial Commission of Ohio has enabled him to successfully pursue compensation for injured workers in claims involving a wide variety of injuries and occupational conditions. His knowledge and professionalism have earned widespread respect throughout Ohio’s workers’ compensation community.
His accomplishments include an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer-review rating available to attorneys. He is also active in numerous professional organizations, including the Ohio Association for Justice, Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, Workplace Injury Litigation Group (WILG), and the Cleveland Association of Compensation Attorneys, where he previously served as president.
Al earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Xavier University and his Juris Doctor from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, now Cleveland State University College of Law. A graduate of St. Edward High School in Cleveland, he is a proud member of St. Edward’s Legal Eagles and a past recipient of the organization’s Man of the Year award.
Away from the office, Al enjoys golfing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
For injured workers seeking an experienced advocate with a lifetime of commitment to protecting workers’ rights, Al provides the knowledge, professionalism, and personal attention clients deserve.
