Tom Connor is arguably the most knowledgeable, experienced, and respected leader in workersโ€™ compensation in Ohio. At Plevin & Gallucci, Tom helps guide the firmโ€™s hearing strategy for workersโ€™ compensation claims and is part of the team developing the unique case-by-case approach to complex cases. Tom is regularly asked to speak before attorneys, judges, members of the legislature, unions, and others in the community about workersโ€™ compensation issues and how to ensure that an injured workersโ€™ rights are protected.

Prior to joining Plevin & Gallucci, Tom spent almost 30 years in executive leadership at the Industrial Commission of Ohio. As Director of Adjudication, he was responsible for, overseeing policy and reported directly to the Commissioners regarding the policies and procedures that govern the Ohio Industrial Commission. He supervised more than 300 employees and management staff, including all of the Staff and District Hearing Officers statewide, and developed and evaluated policies, procedures, and programs in the adjudication of workersโ€™ compensation claims.

Tom served as primary liaison between the Industrial Commission and the Ohio Bureau of Workersโ€™ Compensation and was the designated representative for the Industrial Commission at many meetings and seminars.

Prior to his leadership at the Industrial Commission, Tom previously served as Chief Regional Attorney at the Ohio Bureau of Workersโ€™ Compensation and as an associate attorney at a Cleveland law firm representing employers and injured workers in workersโ€™ compensation matters.

During his unique career path, Tom has developed an unparalleled level of knowledge of workersโ€™ compensation claims from the position of the Bureau of Workersโ€™ Compensation, the Industrial Commission of Ohio, and in the actual representation of injured workers. Today Tom uses that knowledge to help injured workers.

Tom earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Cleveland State University and a Juris Doctor degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

Outside of the office, Tom enjoys live music, walking his dog, Cleveland sports, and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
