Maximilian C. Jelen
Max Jelen is an attorney in the Columbus office of Plevin & Gallucci who focuses on matters involving workers’ compensation. He previously was a law clerk at the firm.
Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Max graduated from Upper Arlington High School. He received a B.A. in History from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he competed as an NCAA Division I swimmer for four years.
Max earned a J.D. cum laude from the Pennsylvania State University, Penn State Law in 2020. He was an Articles Editor for the Penn State Law Review and has published works on first responder-related PTSD under the Ohio Workers’ Compensation Act and Ohio’s 2017 amendment to reduce the statute of limitations to file a claim for an injury or death benefits under the Ohio Workers’ Compensation Act. He was also a Research Assistant to Associate Dean Andrea Matwyshyn.
Max is admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and spending time outdoors.
